Balzan is famously known as one of the three villages that lie in the center of the Maltese islands. Thought to originate from the Arabic language, the meaning of Balzan has been associated with olive groves and orange trees of which many can be found in the region. Despite its size which is very small, Balzan has enjoyed a huge influx of residential development in recent years. It is a popular tourist destination for the middle and upper class. Despite the development, Balzan has a lot of historic buildings that invite visitors to come and have a closer look. Close to the capital of Valletta and yet still retaining its original charm, Balzan is a paradise within an island.
As previously mentioned, many new residential developments have been happening in late years and this has been beneficial for overseas property investors who have taken advantage of owning an apartment in sunny Malta. Living in Malta is like stepping back in time with lots of added charm and history. The turquoise waters of the islands beckon us to take a dip whilst enjoying the gentle rays of the sun on our skin.
